The award is given on the basis of exceptional results via an in-depth research process, whereb real estate agents are evaluated by consumers based on customer service, integrity, market knowledge, communication and negotiation skills, closing preparation, helping you find the right home, marketing the home being sold, and overall satisfaction.

Five Star Professional follows standard survey practices used by other professional research organizations. The research also includes feedback from industry peers and leaders, and a regulatory review to provide necessary checks and balances.

The Five Star Professional research team applies a vigorous research and evaluation process to identify service professionals who provide quality services to their clients. Professionals do not pay a fee to be considered or placed on the final list of Five Star award winners.

The research methodology allows no more than 7% of service professionals in a given market to qualify for the Five Star award.

Connecticut Financing Update and Today's Mortgage Rates 4/6/2014

An extremely volatile interest rate market saw the rates spike significantly early in the week while they came back down to last weeks levels by the end of the week.  The 10 year treasury is currently at 2.73% which is an increase of 0.01 compared to last week.  If you were to take a look a closer look at the interest rates then you would see that there has been an upward trend going back to May of 2013.  Anyone looking to close within the next short term period then you might be better off locking into a rate now.

Conventional 30 year fixed          4.625%                APR 4.682%

Conventional 15 year fixed          3.625%                APR 3.719%

Conventional 5/1 ARM                 3.500%                 APR 3.417%

Conventional 7/1 ARM                 3.750%                 APR 3.669%
