Westport CT Weekly Real Estate Market Report 2/28/11

WESTPORT CT HOMES: There are currently 257 homes on the market at an average price of $2,196,592 that have been on the market an average 135 days. There were 6  new listings and 3 homes came back on the market after being under deposit. 3 Properties had a price change. In the last week,  12 properties have gone under deposit, which is what we call CTS. This means that the property just took a binder, but all the contingencies have not yet been met. 3 properties went into Pending status, which generally means that the all conditions have been satisfied, and the property is just waiting to close. That's more buying activity than last week!The 2 properties that closed in the last week had an average price of $1,249,000 and were on the market for an average of  208 days. There were 36  property status changes.

WESTPORT CT CONDOS: There are currently 25 condominiums on the market listed at an average price  of $522,607  that  have been on the market 120 days.  There were no new listings . No Properties had a price change. In the last week, 1 property went into CTS status,  and no property went into pending status. No properties  closed in the last week. There were 2  property status changes.

There are currently 96 rental opportunities available  in Westport at an average list price of $7802 per month, and have been on the markt an average of 65 days. (That's a TEN percent drop in inventory from last week! Activity is good- people are gearing up for those seasonal rentals!)
