Home buyers often ask me to show them homes in the best school districts, or what the best schools are for their children. Real estate agents have to be careful by law as to how they answer those questions. What I suggest is that instead of looking up those school review sites that are so plentiful on the net- just not as substantive as they could be, that you go directly to the one source of unbiased educational information that is available, and that's through the State of Connecticut Department of Education website.
We are lucky in the state of Connecticut - each of our 169 towns and cities are mandated by law to report various aspects, ratios, and numbers for each townwide school district, as well as each individual school. Once you review these detailed 6+ page reports , you can make appropriate comparisons as they relate to your child. You can find links to the State Educational site known as CeDar on my educational resource pages for Easton, Fairfield, Norwalk, Trumbull and Westport, and the Strategic Profile options on those pages access every school and every district in the state. As always, if you have any questions, I'm right here to help. I can even pull the reports for you and send them as a .pdf file - just send me an email with your request
